What We Know: July is Bereaved Parents Month, and a Springfield grief support organization wants parents to know they don’t have to face the loss of a child by themselves.
What It Means: Lost and Found Grief Center on Glenstone Avenue offers both individual counseling and group sessions, giving parents a safe place to talk, connect with others, and learn healthy ways to cope with grief.
Counselors at the center say grief isn’t something people should carry alone.
They encourage any parent who has lost a child to reach out for support.
What’s Next: Lost and Found Grief Center continues to offer programs year-round for children, teens and adults, coping with the loss of a loved one.
