What We Know: After nearly 15 years with the City of Springfield, longtime Public Information Director Cora Scott is leaving her position, but questions remain about her departure.
What It Means: Scott confirmed to local media over the weekend that she’s transitioning out of her role as director of public information and civic engagement.
She declined to say whether the decision was her own.
Springfield Mayor Jeff Schrag also declined to comment.
What’s Next: Meanwhile, former Mayor Ken McClure and former City Manager Jason Gage are among those praising Scott for her years of service to the city.
So far, few details have been released about what led to her departure.
