What We Know: The city of Springfield is reminding political campaigns to take down their election signs.

What It Means: Under city rules, property owners must remove campaign signs within 48 hours after an election.

Signs are also prohibited in public rights-of-way, including sidewalks, medians, and utility poles, at all times.

Public Works crews routinely pick up signs placed in those restricted areas.
