Strong to Severe Thunderstorms Possible Late Thursday Night into Early Friday

We have one last round of showers and thunderstorms to move through the Ozarks before a warm and dry next week ahead.

The National Weather Service says strong to severe storms are possible from late Thursday night into early Friday morning.

Winds up to 60 to 70 miles per hour and hail up to the size of quarters are possible, along with localized heavy rainfall and flash flooding.

Areas south and west of Springfield are under a Level 2 “slight risk” for severe storms, while areas from Nevada to Springfield to Branson are under a Level 1 “marginal risk.”
