What We Know: Students in Billings traded the usual ride to school for a walk Wednesday morning.

What It Means: They met at the Billings Fire Station and walked to school together as part of National Walk, Bike and Roll to School Day.

What’s Next: The program promotes safe routes to school and teaches younger students about pedestrian safety.

Billings senior Alesa Garbee says students have taken part for years, and the walk gives older students a chance to show younger kids how to safely use sidewalks and crosswalks.
