It’s welcome news for drivers in Springfield: As of 5am Thursday, the Sunshine Street Bridge is open over the railroad between Scenic Avenue and Kansas Expressway.
This follows months of construction that forced the closure of Sunshine west of Kansas Expressway.
The completion date was delayed from December to January.
