Suspect Charged in Springfield Shooting

A suspect has been charged in the shooting deaths of two people last Friday.

The Greene County Prosecutors Office has charged 39-year-old Jeffrey Garrett of St. Louis with 2 counts of first-degree murder and armed criminal action in the deaths of 46-year-old Jack Osborn and 44-year-old Melissa Smith on West Chestnut Street on July 5^th.

Springfield Police are looking for Garrett.
