What We Know: A 14-year-old boy was seriously hurt in a dirt bike crash at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland.
What It Means: The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the crash happened around 11:30 Saturday morning.
Troopers say the boy, from Crane, was riding a Yamaha dirt bike when he and the driver of a Ford SUV swerved into each other’s path and collided.
What’s Next: The teen was taken to University Hospital in Columbia with serious injuries.
Troopers say he was wearing safety equipment at the time of the crash.
The driver of the SUV was not hurt.
