Residents of Webster County are going to have access to more local medical care, as Texas-based company Fast Doc partners with the Webster County Health Department to bring it to them.
The company and department have begun working together to bring an urgent care facility to the area after local health administrators saw a need that wasn’t being properly met.
Admin like Scott Allen, who stated that over 12,000 residents visited the emergency room in 2022, but just 3,000 of those residents were admitted.
Jurry Van Ark, the leader of Fast Doc, hopes that the partnership will help residents to get medical care faster and ultimately to keep residents out of the emergency room.
The Marshfield clinic will open on August 1, but Fast Doc doesn’t plan to stop there with medical assistance.
The company has worked out a plan with Marshfield Schools to keep their students and teachers healthy via community care, same day admittance, and in-house testing.
Fast Doc is also working out an emergency transportation deal with the Marshfield Fire Department.
