Three Injured in House Fire

Three people have been rushed to a local hospital after flames broke out at a home on Tampa just East of Kansas and Chestnut Expressway.

Several units responded to the scene early this morning. A fire department battalion chief says seven people were in the home when the fire broke out. A Fire Marshall is investigating.

UPDATE:

The fire began around 4 a.m. at the 1300 block of West Tampa.

Police say one of the people injured is in the hospital in critical condition. Two of the other injured parties are in stable condition and suffered smoke inhalation.

The American Red Cross has offered to aid the families effected by the fire.
