Two Former Evangel Professors Return Home after being Trapped in Israel

Two former professors at Evangel University are home safe after a perilous trip to Israel.

Dr. Wade and Lacey Nunnally arrived at Springfield-Branson National Airport Saturday night to a crowd of over 100 family and friends greeting them back.

The couple, who taught at Evangel, were frequent visitors to the West Asian country since Wade received his graduate degree there in the 1980s.

They were scheduled to give tours in Israel over the next few weeks, but arrived to see the nation in turmoil with the war against Hamas breaking out just minutes after they landed.

While they are now home safe, the Nunnally’s say they are not deterred, and will continue to lend aid as necessary.
