Two in Custody After Mountain Home Shooting

A property dispute in Mountain Home, Arkansas, escalated into a shootout, leading to the arrest of two brothers, John Way and David Way.

Both face attempted capital murder and aggravated robbery charges. 

A homeowner, who was armed with a shotgun, confronted the brothers, who were allegedly loading a canoe onto a truck on his property.

Deputies linked the incident to a property line dispute or trespassing. 

Arrest warrants were issued on May 1. 

John Way is held on a $100,000 bond and faces additional drug and firearms charges after meth was found.

David Way’s bond is $25,000.
