Two Tornadoes Confirmed From Friday’s Storms in Benton County, Missouri

The National Weather Service has confirmed two tornadoes touched down to the north of Springfield in Benton County during Friday night’s severe storms in the Ozarks.

NWS survey teams confirmed an EF-1 tornado touched down in northwest Warsaw with estimated peak winds of 90 miles per hour and a path length of 2.6 miles.

That twister flipped several mobile homes and uprooted some trees.

An EF-0 twister hit southeast of Warsaw, causing damage to a building on Highway 83.

The tornado had estimated peak winds around 80 miles per hour, with a maximum width of 200 yards.

No injuries were reported from those dangerous storms.
