Two Women from Springfield Plead Guilty to Charges in Connection with Capitol Riots

Two women from Springfield have pleaded guilty to their charges for their participation in the January 6 Capitol riots.

Court records show that Cara Hentschel and Mahailya Pryer each pleaded guilty to one count of parading, demonstrating, or picketing in any of the Capitol building. Both women faced three other charges in the incident.

FBI agents arrested both women in the fall of 2021 after a tip was submitted to the FBI that included social media posts from Hentschel that showed the two at the Capitol building during the attack.

A sentence or date of sentencing in the women’s cases has not been released.
