Universities & Nonprofits of Springfield Receive a $900,000 Estate Gift

What we know: Dr. Sandra L. D’Angelo, a former educator who died on April 17th at age 78, has left a $900,000 estate that will be set to benefit Missouri State University and several nonprofits in Springfield, along with other organizations outside the Springfield area.

What it means: Multiple Springfield area organizations, along with Missouri State University and Holy Trinity Catholic Church, will be receiving a sum of money from the total estate gift to help further causes that were important to Dr. D’Angelo.

What’s Next: All parties involved will use that money to further advance Dr. D’Angelo’s goals of furthering education and enriching lives, strengthening faith, and building community in the area
