Widespread Rain Moves into Ozarks Monday, with Strong to Severe Storm Potential Tuesday

Widespread rain is likely in the Ozarks Monday evening.

The National Weather Service says some areas may experience over an inch of rainfall with this first round.

Minor flooding is possible.

We’ll have additional thunderstorms on Tuesday, and some of those could be strong to severe, especially north and west of Springfield.

Light rain chances and cooler temps in the 40’s will continue Wednesday and Thursday.

The highest rain totals are expected along the I-49 corridor west of Springfield, with three quarters of an inch to an inch possible in the metro area.
