Willard Mayoral Race Ends In Tie

The Willard mayoral race has ended with both candidates, Samuel Snider and Troy Smith collecting 349 votes apiece.

A hand recount of the votes will be conducted at 9am on Friday at the Elections Center in Springfield and is open to the public. If the results remain tied, the candidates may choose to decide the election via a coin flip, or a runoff election.

The election also saw 5 votes for write-in candidates.
