93.3 KWTO Keeping Watch Over the Ozarks
Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield marked the anniversary of the famous battle 161 years ago Wednesday.
During a ceremony commemorating the battle, the Wilson’s Creek National Battlefield Foundation donated a letter from President Lincoln commissioning Major General Franz Sigel, to command the Union Army after General Nathaniel Lyon was killed during the battle.
