Winter Weather Advisory North and East of Springfield

Snow and a light wintry mix have led to slick roads in the eastern Ozarks and around the Lake of the Ozarks Friday afternoon.

A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect for those areas through 4 p.m. Friday.

Get road conditions from around the Ozarks and across the state with the MoDOT Traveler Information Map.

We’ve had report of numerous slide-offs around the Osage Beach/Lake of the Ozarks region.

The National Weather Service says snow and sleet accumulations up to one inch are possible through Friday afternoon.

Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, are slick and hazardous in parts of central Missouri. Plan on slippery road conditions.

Reports from law enforcement have indicated multiple accidents are occurring on westbound Highway 54 from Eldon to Eugene.

Hazardous conditions will continue through the evening commute.

A crash at Highway 65 and Kearney in Springfield tied up traffic starting around Noon, with all lanes at a standstill on northbound 65.
