Woman from Bolivar Arrested in Connection with Crash that Injured Motorcyclist

A woman from Bolivar is in police custody for her role in a multi-vehicle crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist.

Authorities say 42-year-old Michelle Higginbotham was arrested by Missouri State Highway Patrol troopers earlier this week, after she allegedly crashed into the motorcycle along Highway 13 near Farm Road 88 after she failed to yield at the intersection on Tuesday.

The driver of the motorcycle was rushed to Mercy Hospital in Springfield with severe injuries.

Higginbotham is charged with DWI resulting in serious physical injury, and is being held in the Greene County Jail.
