What We Know: An 18-year-old Mountain Grove woman suffered serious injuries Wednesday afternoon after falling from a moving vehicle in Wright County.
What It Means: The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the incident happened around 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of Owens Road and Stairstep Road, north of Norwood.
According to troopers, the woman was riding in a 2016 Nissan Sentra when she attempted to climb onto the roof of the moving vehicle. She fell and was seriously injured.
The driver, a 20-year-old woman from Mountain Grove, was not hurt.
What’s Next: The injured passenger was taken to a Springfield hospital for treatment. Troopers continue to investigate the incident.
