Woman from St. James Dead After Being Hit by Train

A woman from St. James is dead after the car she was in got hit by a train in Phelps County.

Authorities say 18-year-old Cadey Rogers was travelling along County Road 3640 near Highway KK around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday afternoon near Rosati when she was killed.

Investigators say Rogers was driving westbound and failed to yield.

Police have confirmed there were both crossbucks and yield signs at the railroad crossing.
