What We Know: Another deadly crash on Highway 65 in Dallas County has people asking whether more needs to be done to make the road safer.
Fifty-eight-year-old Jeanie Torrey of Buffalo was killed in a head-on crash near Thomasville Road last Thursday.
What It Means: It’s the second fatal crash along Highway 65 in Dallas County this year.
What’s next: Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant Mike McClure says the highway narrowing from four lanes to two could be a factor in crashes, although investigators are still trying to determine what happened in this case.
A close family friend remembers Torrey as a loving grandmother who always put others first.
Friends are calling for safety improvements along that stretch of highway. A celebration of life for Torrey is planned for November.
