Eight CEO’s, small business owners, and community leaders gathered at Zimmer-Springfield on Thursday to talk about issues affecting the local and regional business community.
Those issues ranged from economic trends, level of optimism in our local economy, crime, and getting our future leaders ready to enter the workforce.
One of the issues discussed was Missouri’s new minimum wage of $15.00 per hour and how some employers are opting to hire more experienced adult workers as a result of the wage increase.
Our CEO’s also talked about housing, public infrastructure, and how we can make sure we’re in a position to lure new business and industry to southwest Missouri.
