220 Million Dollar Bond Issue for SPS

The Springfield school board is considering a 220 million dollar bond issue.

Spokesman Stephen Hall says the board is reviewing the language of the bond proposal before deciding whether to send it to voters in April.

Hall says the issue would not increase the current tax levy but would extend it. The money would be used to build new storm shelter gyms at elementary schools, add security features and build or renovate school buildings.
