A number of public schools and colleges/universities have called off classes on Wednesday because of the winter storm that brought well over a half foot of snow to areas south of I-44.
Springfield Public Schools and Springfield Catholic are closed Wednesday, along with Missouri State University, Drury University in Springfield, Evangel and OTC.
