Springfield City Council has approved a 15 and a half million dollar bond at Monday night’s council meeting.
All of the council members present at the meeting voted for the bond.
The money from the bond will be used to renovate historic City Hall, upgrade some of the city’s fire stations, and build a new animal shelter.
