Arkansas Man Arrested for Homicide at Branson Hospital

A patient at an area hospital is under arrest after he made suspicious statements to staff about a possible homicide.

The staff at Cox Medical Center in Branson said Jeffrey Stansberry of St. Joe, Arkansas, came to the hospital complaining of an injury and saying he may have “harmed a woman.”

The Searcy County Sheriff’s Department and the Arkansas State Police went to his house and found the body of a woman.

Stansberry has been arrested for capital murder and abuse of a corpse.
