Bass Pro has implemented layoffs at its boat manufacturing plants in Lebanon and Bolivar.
About 100 people are out of work.
White River Marine Group says it reduced its aluminum boat manufacturing workforce by ten percent.
They blame slowing consumer demand for the layoffs.
They went on to say that they hope the cyclical nature of the business will lead to them rehiring the workers soon.
