Both lanes of Interstate 44 between Kansas Expressway and West Bypass will be closed for a few days for the demolition of the Melville Road Bridge.
MODOT says that section of I-44 will be closed from 9 PM Friday, July 11, until 6 AM Monday, July 14.
Traffic will be detoured through the James River Freeway and Highway 65.
