C-U Estimates the Cost of the April 29 Storm

Springfield City Utilities has released estimates on the amount of damage from the April 29 storm.

C-U says over 62,000 customers were without power.

Crews replaced 267 broken poles, 175 transformers, and 111-thousand feet of wire which cost $1.27 million dollars.

Preliminary estimates for the storm’s damage is between $9 million and $11 million dollars.
