Casper’s Reopens in Springfield

After closing its doors in recent years, one of Springfield’s most historic eateries is back open at a new location.

Casper’s reopened Thursday, renewing a legacy that began when the restaurant first opened in 1909.

The new iteration still features the famous burgers and chili, but has a few new additions.

Beginning soon, Casper’s will be serving breakfast for the first time, as a part of the restaurant’s location aesthetic.

The new location is on South Glenstone near the Grand Street intersection in Springfield, where Anton’s Coffee Shop was located.

For now, the restaurant will be open from 10:30am-3pm Monday thru Saturday.
