Charges Filed in Kidnapping of 2-Year-Old

Prosecutors in Greene County have filed charges in an incident that led to an Amber Alert.

Arisha Caldwell and Frank Ganis face first-degree kidnapping charges, interference with custody, and endangering the welfare of a child.

Springfield Police say Caldwell and Ganis abducted 2-year-old Arukia Ganis during a supervised visit to Wonders of Wildlife.

Arukia is in the custody of the State of Missouri.

They were arrested in Polk County and are in the Greene County Jail without bond.

Both Caldwell and Ganis were charged in Stone County in 2023 for sex crimes with a minor.
