Child Care Reported as a Serious Problem in Missouri

The Missouri Chamber of Commerce says the availability and cost of child care are serious problems in the state.

The State Department of Elementary and Secondary Education reports that about a third of child care facilities in the state remain closed after the COVID 29 pandemic.

The Missouri Chamber of Comerce says the state lost out on more than a billion dollars in business in 2022 because of a lack of child care.
