A man from Springfield is dead following a car crash in Cedar County Sunday afternoon.
Police say 28-year-old Daniel Davis was driving on County Road 676 north of Stockton when he went off the road, went down and embankment and crashed into a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene, and investigators say he was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.
It is the 116th traffic death in Missouri State Highway Patrol Troop D’s district this year.
