City of Springfield Condensing Efforts For Clean Green Storm Debris Volunteer Day Thursday

The City of Springfield says it’s condensing volunteer efforts during Thursday’s “Clean Green Storm Debris Volunteer Day” due to low volunteer registrations.

The extreme heat seems to be a factor.

Volunteers will be assigned to three rally point locations with the highest number of requests for help, including Zagonyi Park, Fassnight Park, and Sunset Church of Christ.

Volunteers won’t work beyond 11:30am Thursday because of the heat.

Beginning August 11th, Springfield Public Works crews will begin picking up curbside storm debris scheduled by zones.
