City of Springfield’s X Account Compromised

The City of Springfield is asking residents to unfollow them on X, formerly known as Twitter.

The City’s Director of Public Information Cora Scott says the City’s X account was compromised.

Scott says there are no plans at the moment to create a new X account.

She says that you can follow the City of Springfield on Facebook, Instagram, Linked In and Nextdoor.

Scott says the live coverage of city council meetings and addresses by the mayor will now be streamed on Facebook.
