City Officials Say Some Marijuana Dispensaries Aren’t Paying Sales Tax

Springfield City Officials say half of the marijuana dispensaries in the city aren’t paying the 3% sales tax. 5 of the 10 dispensaries in the city did not report the tax for the month of March.

The tax has generated $300,000 so far this year, much less than originally estimated.

City Councilman Craig Hosmer say there may be some confusion about how these businesses are supposed to pay, and the correct amount.
