The 45th President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, is now expected to become the 47th President in United States history.

In a surprise to many Tuesday night into Wednesday morning, publications such as Fox News, AP, CNN, and others declared the race for Trump as he took battleground states such as Georgia, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.

He also holds leads in other battleground states, such as Arizona, Nevada, and Michigan. If current voting holds, it will be the first time in his 3 elections for president where he will win the popular vote.

Trump joins Grover Cleveland as the only other president in American history to serve non-consecutive terms. Cleveland was the nation’s 22nd and 24th.

It also appears that Republicans will grab a majority in the U.S. Senate, with a strong chance of taking control of the House of Representatives.
