Dr. Tommy Macdonnell Dies at 99

A prominent Marshfield doctor and former State Representative has died. Dr. Tommy Macdonnell died Sunday at the age of 99.

He was an Obstetrician who delivered over 4,500 babies. As a member of the Missouri House of Representatives, he authored the Clean Indoor Air Act, which banned smoking in public buildings and prohibited the sale of tobacco products to anyone under 18.

Macdonnell was also a veteran involved in the D-Day invasion of Normandy as part of the Big Red One Infantry Division.
