Driver Leads Highway Patrol On a Chase On I-44

A driver was arrested in Lawrence County after leading the Highway Patrol on a 20-mile chase on I-44.

The Highway Patrol says Troopers responded to an accident at the 32-mile marker on I-44.

When they arrived, a vehicle sped away through the median, striking several cables barriers before getting back on the Interstate around the 36-mile marker.

The driver was finally stopped around the 51-mile marker and arrested.
