Drought Alert Issued in Missouri

Governor Parson has signed an executive order declaring a drought alert in the State of Missouri.

The Governor says he wants to be proactive on drought conditions before it gets worse in the late Summer.

The order directs Missouri Department of Natural Recources Director Dru Buntin to activate the State’s rought assessment committee.

The US drought monitor indicates 60 committee. The US drought monitar indicates 60 counties in Missouri are experiencing drought conditions.
