The family of a 9-year-old boy killed in a crash has filed a lawsuit against the Christian County Sheriff’s Department.
The lawsuit claims the sheriff’s department was negligent by continuing a high-speed chase of Zachary Fargo.
Fargo ran a red light and crashed into a minivan, killing 9-year-old Alexander Finley.
The lawsuit claims the pursuit violated the sheriff’s office’s own policies on high-speed pursuits.
Fargo is charged with second degree murder and three other felonies in connection with the crash.
Finley’s sister and mother were injured in the crash.
