UPDATE:
Springfield Police have identified the victim as 32-year-old Lacey Nix.
Officers and first responders attempted life-saving measures at the scene to revive Nix, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was taken into custody at the scene and questioned, but has not been formally arrested at this time.
ORIGINAL:
One person is dead and another in jail in connection with a shooting in Springfield.
Police say a person was fatally shot in a domestic dispute at Westgate Avenue and La Siesta place.
Police have not released the names of the victim and suspect.
