Fire in Pineville Woods Set Intentionally

The fire department in Pineville says flames near Elk River were deliberately set by a person on the river.

The fire is in a heavily wooded area inaccessible to fire trucks. The fire department says it could continue to burn for several days.

Missouri Department of Conservation agents and the Pineville Fire Department are working to keep the fire from farmland.
