Firefighters Rescue Woman and Her Dog From James River

Firefighters rescued a woman and her dog from the James River Tuesday afternoon.

Logan-Rogersville Fire Protection District officials say the woman had parked her car north of Kinser Bridge on Farm Road 164 on high ground, but the water began to rise.

The woman tried to drive away, but her car stalled.

Firefighters were able to reach the woman and move her and her dog to higher ground.
