The C-D-C says the first human case of H5 Bird Flu has been confirmed in Missouri.
A news release from the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services says the state public health lab received a specimen from a patient who was hospitalized on August 22.
The patient tested positive.
The patient had no contact with animals.
They were released from the hospital when they recovered.
The Department of Health and Senior Services says there is a low risk of transmission to the general public.
