Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson Announces 2024 Presidential Campaign Bid

Former Arkansas Governor Asa Hutchinson is announcing his run for President of the United States in 2024.

The 72-year-old Bentonville native announced his candidacy Wednesday morning in his hometown as the fourth Republican to join the race.

Hutchinson joins former President Donald Trump, former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley and executive Vivek Ramaswamy.

Many political experts anticipate that Florida Governor Ron DeSantis will announce his candidacy at a later date.

Hutchinson has been an outspoken critic of Trump’s run for re-election, saying he should step aside due to his ongoing legal troubles.

He also says the former President is too focused on the past, campaigning on the 2020 election that he still believes was stolen from him.
