Former Highlandville Police Chief Files Lawsuit Against the City

The former Police Chief of Highlandville has fled filed a Federal Lawsuit against the city.

Warren Hagar accuses the city of violating his first amendment rights and retaliating against him after he spoke to the media.

The city fired Hagar in February. The lawsuit also accused Mayor Clint Ellingsworth of misusing a 200 thousand dollars in COVID-19 relief funding.
