Former MoDOT Supervisor Accused of Theft

What We Know: A former Missouri Department of Transportation supervisor is accused of using state credit cards for thousands of dollars in personal purchases.

What It Means: Prosecutors say 37-year-old Artemus “AJ” Jackson used the cards to buy about $50,000 worth of items, including watches, clothing, cologne, and accessories for his personal vehicles.

He’s also accused of stealing two new mowers and a trailer from MoDOT.

What’s Next: Investigators say Jackson even staged a burglary and later called in an anonymous tip using a fake voice about where the mowers could be found.

The alleged crimes happened between 2022 and July of this year.
